Almost everybody, at times, hasa touch of it, while some never know what it is to be free from thedistemper. Many people are affected with it who do not mistrustthat it is a disease. They imagine that the discharges from the headare but the natural wastes of the mucous membrane. Such personsought to be informed that the healthy mucous membrane secretesonly a sufficiency of mucus to keep it moist or free from uncomfort-able dryness, and that when there is a discharge from the nose oran expectoration of mucus from the throat, there exists a disease ofthat membrane known by the name of catarrh.
